Tom Haverfoods is a single-serving site born from a conversation between myself and my friend Sami. After watching a hilarious clip of Aziz Ansari on the hit NBC sitcom, Parks & Recreation, we thought it would be fun to expand the idea and make new ones.
With the help of a couple others, we compiled a huge list and I got the site up—all within 24 hours of the idea.
Within 2 hours of its launch, it was tweeted by Aziz Ansari himself, as well as featured on many popular sites like New York Magazine, BuzzFeed, Entertainment Weekly, and Urban Outfitters. But, possibly the coolest is both Aziz & Amy Poehler talking about it on the red carpet.
The site has received over 800,000 visits and over 13 million Haverfoods have been served.
