WWIII Posters

Filed under: Design — admin @ 7:01 pm

Inspired by the 2009 Iran election protest and activism and censorship therein, the WWIII Propaganda Posters were conceived as a mostly playful statement on wartime, citizen journalism, censorship, and how they all play with the advent of the Internet.

Based on World War II propaganda posters, the posters have been rethought in contemporary context, remixed for today’s Internet culture.

As seen on The Guardian, Boing Boing, and a few others.

Go Vote Absentee

Filed under: Design — admin @ 5:43 pm

Go Vote Absentee was an incredibly successful get-out-the-absentee-vote project for the 2008 election year spearheaded by my good friend and accomplice, Sam Oliker-Friedland. Acting as Creative Director, I designed the identity of the company as well as the entire design of the website. My goal as designer was to create a site that was incredibly easy and quick to use—something that was previously never heard of in absentee voting.

Go Vote Absentee received over 250,000 unique visitors, was featured on venues such as MTVu, and ended up being the margin of difference in the Minnesota Senate election.

Louie

Filed under: Video — admin @ 9:21 pm

Louie Evans has become a Boston legend by riding around the city on his tricycle and yelling what some people call a “siren noise.” Who is he? Why does he ride? Interviews with the employees of Back Bay Bicycles, the store that does complimentary repairs for Louie’s bike, and Louie himself outline the mysterious ‘trike rider’s life as a dedicated bicyclist and as a compassionate, misunderstood person.
